Hello Friend - FMS #50

Oh my, how quick is this year travelling ... which means the weeks are flying and yep, time for a brand new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Our hostess this week is the awesome Lesley of Always Playing with Paper. I had fun with this card and pulled out some cork sheets that I had bought awhile ago but never got around to using. It is such a fun medium to use - it adds great texture and adds a terrific effect ... wow, I love it!

Happy Birthday - A Freshly Made Sketch

Are you ready for this weeks new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches?  Well, we've got one for you and this week our hostess is Jen Mitchell.

It's a really fun sketch and I had so many ideas running through my head ... but do you think I could get them to work .... nah!  Anyway, over the weekend I was at Myers (a department store in Australia) and I became inspired by their displays and merchandising .... chevrons were everywhere and i was so totally inspired ....

Freshly Made Sketches - #48

It's time to play again with a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and this week I am the hostess.

They say that inspiration can be found everywhere .... well, this sketch was inspired by one of my son's engineering assignments - yep, engineering ... now that's taking it out on a whole new tangent!

My card this week used these leaves and flowers that were coloured a while ago and didn't get used (so glad I kept them), and the trio of strips was me trying to be creative .... I was going for the ombre look, y'know the pretty gradient shading from one colour to the next ... unfortunately, it didn't quite come out to be very distinctive ... oh well, try again next time!

Hey There - A Freshly Made Sketch

Are you ready for a new sketch to get your inspiration firing?  Well, it's Wednesday, which means we have a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our hostess is Jen Timko and she has a fun design for you to play with ...

I really enjoyed playing with this sketch ... I love the clean space and bold element details, and this card came together quite quickly.  I used some graphic designed papers - dots, checks and chevrons and just to play on the fun a bit further I added some cute lil buttons.  The butterfly is a Crisina Re punch and a negative in vanilla was used to frame the black butterfly!

Freshly Made Sketches #46

We've got a brand new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches ... and Lesley Croghan our hostess for the week is back from holidays and has this fun design for you to play with.

I've used the SU stamp set Beautiful Season, it's a fairly new stamp set for me and this is the first time that I have inked it up ... it came out alright, I think.  The rest of the card is fairly plain and simple ...
