Joy - Freshly Made Sketches

Hi All

Welcome back and thank you for popping by! It's time for another sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, but before I do, just a little "Thank You" to everyone who played along and supported us, what a great response we had ... so without further ado, this week our hostess is the lovely Linda Callahan.

Feel free to personalize the sketch and make it your own! That's what makes it "Freshly Made!"

Here is the card that I have come up with:

This is my felt flower attempt, which I learnt at the Jennifer McGuire Holiday Boot Card Camp, so simple - petals cut freehand and stuck together with glue ... easy peasy, and very effective, I love it!!!

And, just to use up the small scrap pieces, I made a little gift tag:

When I made the card, I liked the petals curving out and up, but when I put the tag together I liked them curving under - which way do you like?

Pop on over to Freshly Made Sketches and check out what the DT have come up with for your inspiration pleasure!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Real Red, striped paper from stash Ink: Glorious Green (retired), Choc Chip, Versamark Stamps: Sentiment from Stamp It Aust, Holly Leaf from Hero Arts Other: Red and Green Felt, Red Rhinestones, Clear EP, Red Ribbon, White Cotton Thread

Beautiful card and tag! The felt flowers are so pretty, love both designs, but my "fav" would be the petals curling in, just gorgeous. And what good use of those scraps for your tag, great job.

Awesome bold design Tui! Those felt poinsettias are gorgeous, both ways are fun, but like them 'out & up' best!

Tui - wow, those flowers are stunning both ways. They add such a great touch to the card and really draw your eye to the fabulous sentiment.

Kinda really like/love both flower versions Tui. Either way, they are a fantastic embellishment for any Chrissy card. I love non trad Chrissy cards....but the good ole fashion ones still tug at my heart strings. They are beautiful.
On a seperate note, I goofed and missed the deadline for the Punpkin OCC chall....but if you pop over to my blog...there is somethin' plus a tad more waiting for you. ooxx

I see what you mean about having a love for flower embellishments lately. This one is a stunner and the little matching tag, just tops off your project.
