JAI 35 - Sympathy

I have a post to share in the Just Add Ink - Sympathy theme for this week. I hadn't really planned on it, but a very dear friend of mine passed away over the weekend, and well .... I needed a card. Here is my card for the family of Richard (Dick) Tuavera and for Just Add Ink this week:A very simple card ... but that is how Dick was ... what you see is what you get, a straight up kinda guy with a heart as big the sky .... this is for you Dick, may you rest in peace.

Brisbane Regionals

Oh what a great weekend I had .... we had the Brisbane Regionals on Saturday and it was a terrific day. I met some old friends, some new friends, some blogging friends and even a celebrity friend ... not only that, but we got to learn some new techniques, got a new stamp set .... and completed some make n takes - I only got 2 done, too busy chatting!!!

Anyway, here is my swaps that I created ... I did a 4"x4" card front and a 3"x3" card front. These are the sample pics of my swaps that I have mounted onto a card base .... post ready!!!
Stamp Set: I mentioned sample because this card I used a retired sentiment stamp ...Oops ... however, for my swaps I used the Tiny Tags set and Solid Stripes (centre of flower)
CardStock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Basic Black
Other: Floral Fusion and Little Leaves Sizzlets, 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches, Basic Black Marker, Ruler, Crystal Effects
Stamp Set: Funky Four, Tiny Tags
CardStock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze
Other: 3/4" and 1" circle punches, 1 1/4" square punch, Basic Black Ink, Pear Pizzaz Ribbon

Kirsty was one of the presenters for the day and she made some pretty cute paper flowers, using the scallop punch and the circle punch. Check out here blog here cos she has posted some great pics of her projects.

Just Add Ink 33 - Sketch Challenge

I have been asked to make a Congratulations card for a friend of a friend who likes Red (she has been accepted into Uni to study medicine) .... so I have gone with the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink (I didn't really have anything to fit that bill, so have kept it quite simple)
